Zermatt is car-free. Access to the hotels in Zermatt is only permitted to Täsch (5 kilometres from Zermatt). The road between Täsch and Zermatt is closed for private traffic. In Täsch you will find a number of parking spaces, which offer shuttle service to and from Zermatt. We recommend Taxi Christophe and Taxi Fredy.
You can also park at the Matterhorn Terminal and take the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway to Zermatt. The trains between Täsch and Zermatt run every 20 minutes.
The hotel’s porter picks you up at the train station or taxi stand in Zermatt and takes you to la couronne. This service is free of charge and provided every day from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm. Please inform us about your arrival time in advance or call us from the free telephone at the train station.
You can check in to your room or suite from 3.00 pm. Please leave your room on the day of departure by 11.00 am. You can deposit your luggage on arrival and departure day free of charge at our reception. If you want to go for some mountain activities on the day of departure, you can use the showers next to the reception afterwards.
You can reach the lifts in 5 to 10 minutes by foot from our hotel in Zermatt. Furthermore, a ski bus operates in Zermatt. The station is right in front of hotel la couronne. Hit the slopes without waiting times.
Start your morning at Hotel la couronne with a rich breakfast and Matterhorn view. Upon request, also guests not staying at our house are welcome to the la couronne breakfast. Per person we charge CHF 28.00. For further indulgence visit our in-house à la carte restaurant Old Zermatt.
